Training Courses
First Aid
We are currently delivering First Response Training using a "blended” training model. This consists of an e-learning module followed by a face-to-face session which will complete the validation for the theory module (10A) and the cover the demonstration/validation requirements for the practical module (10B).

You must complete the e-learning course before attending the practical session. This will take approximately 3 hours and can be done in stages (you don't have to do it all in one sitting). You can access the e-learning here (after you've finished the training, you can use the same link to go back and refresh you knowledge):

Once you’ve completed the e-learning, you will need to attend a face-to-face session. This will last approximately 3½ hours, during which we’ll recap and validate the e-learning and cover the practical requirements for First Response through a mixture of quizzes, small group work, discussions and practical scenarios/demonstrations.

The practical aspects will include, assessing a scene and treating an unconscious breathing casualty, and demonstrating CPR for both adults and children – these will typically involve working on the floor so you will need to dress appropriately.
